Landulph Film Club

Landulph Film Club organises monthly film shows in the Memorial Hall from September through to April.

Screenings are normally on Tuesdays and start at 7:30pm - this year most are the third Tuesday of the month, but check the programme.

If you would like to help with selection of films and in running the screenings then please get in touch with Nigel Johnson on 01752 841 520 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

The hall has a large screen and good sound system so the quality and experience far exceed what you can get in your living room.

Films are open to the public and the price is generally £5. Membership for £25 includes a season ticket to cover the 8 screenings each autumn and winter

Films are briefly introduced by our expert John Hall whose lifetime experience in the film industry enables him to set the context for each film. We try to choose a diverse range of films, generally English language classics rather than art-house films although our policy is continually evolving in response to feedback.

For 2011-12 the programme ranges from classics to epics, comedies to dramas, and includes a special event as part of the Landulph Festival of Music and Arts. On Monday October 10th we screened the British late classic of the silent cinema Piccadilly with live musical accompaniment from St.German's based band Wurlitza -  an amazing evening. All programmes start at 7:30pm

  • Tues 20th Sept - Seven Year Itch (dir. Billy Wilder, star Marilyn Monroe)
  • Mon 10th Oct - Piccadilly with live musical accompaniment from Wurlitza
  • Tues 15th Nov - Dr. Zhivago (dir. David lean, star Omar Shariff)
